Costa Rica Hosts CELAC Coordination Meeting

Havana, Cuba, Jul 29.- Representatives of the countries with the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) are gathering Tuesday in, Costa Rica for the second Meeting of the Working Group on International Cooperation of the organization.
The forum of CELAC, a regional political coordination, cooperation and integration bloc without the participation of the United States and Canada a currently chaired by Costa Rica, is being held at a local hotel in the capital San Jose, according to Prensa Latina Radio service.

CELAC was set up February 23, 2010 in Mexico during the Summit of Latin American and Caribbean Unity. The bloc began to work December 3, 2011 following the gathering of the Group of Rio and the Summit of Latin America  and the Caribbean on Integration and Development.

The members states of CELAC are Venezuela, Cuba, Ecuador, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominica, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, Suriname and Jamaica.

Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, México, Nicaragua, Panamá, Paraguay, Peru, The Dominican Republic, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia are also taking part at the forum, along the host country.(ACN)
